Privacy Policy

Field Forged Technologies provides Field Forged: Baseline and this website. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the app, visit our site, or contact us. For privacy questions or requests, email support@fieldforgedtech.com.

Field records and device permissions

The app stores information you choose to enter or capture, including project details, observations, notes, photos, timestamps, tool inputs and results, and profile or company information used in reports. These records support your field documentation and exports.

With your permission, the app uses the camera for photos and camera-based tools, location for field coordinates and photo metadata, and the photo library to save images. Relevant tools also use device motion, orientation, or microphone measurements. The noise tool measures microphone levels without saving a playable audio recording. You can change permissions in your device settings; related features may then be unavailable.

Records are stored on your device. Supported project records can sync through Apple’s private iCloud storage when available. Some tool drafts and saved files remain local. Apple processes iCloud data under its own policies. Field Forged does not operate a central server that receives your field records as part of the normal save workflow.

Exports and sharing

You choose whether to export or share reports, photos, and other files. Exports may include names, notes, photos, timestamps, and location information. Review the contents before sharing. Copies sent to other people or services are controlled by those recipients and are not removed when you delete the original in the app.

Advertising and privacy choices

The app integrates Google Mobile Ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform. The current beta uses test ads. Ad-supported versions may display Google ads; Pro access removes the dashboard banner.

When Google’s services run, they may process IP addresses, approximate location inferred from IP, device identifiers, ad interactions, usage, diagnostics, and performance information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and operate their services. The app requests non-personalized ads; this does not mean no information is processed. Field Forged does not supply project names, notes, photos, precise field coordinates, or profile details as ad-targeting parameters.

Where required, privacy choices are presented before ad requests. You can revisit available choices under Advertising Privacy in the app’s Settings. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner services.

Purchases and diagnostics

When purchases are available, Apple processes payments. The app uses purchase and subscription entitlement information to unlock features; Field Forged does not receive your payment-card details. Apple’s App Store, subscription, and privacy policies apply.

Apple may provide crash diagnostics and TestFlight feedback according to your settings and the beta-testing services you use. We use information you submit and available diagnostics to investigate problems and improve the app.

Website and support

Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Hosting, security, and website analytics may process browser and device information, IP addresses, page visits, and cookies or similar technologies. The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection. See Squarespace’s Privacy Policy and Google’s policy linked above. Browser settings and any available cookie controls let you manage cookies.

If you email us or submit a form, we receive the contact details, inquiry category, message, and any information you voluntarily provide. Squarespace and our email providers process this information to deliver and store the inquiry. We use it to respond, troubleshoot, and follow up. Please avoid sending passwords, payment details, or confidential jobsite material that is not needed for your request.

Retention and deletion

We delete resolved support emails and website form submissions from our active email and Squarespace records within 90 days after the inquiry is resolved, unless longer retention is necessary to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute. Service-provider backups and security logs may follow their own retention schedules.

This 90-day rule does not apply to your app project records or photos. Those remain in your device or applicable iCloud storage until you remove them. You can delete records using the app’s available controls and manage iCloud data through Apple’s settings. Separately saved photos, exports, and backups may need to be deleted separately. Removing the app alone may not remove iCloud or exported copies.

Your choices and requests

You can manage device permissions, available advertising choices, and your saved records. Contact support@fieldforgedtech.com to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including objection, restriction, portability, withdrawal of consent, or a complaint to a privacy authority. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security and changes

We use the safeguards provided by our devices and service providers and limit the information needed for support. No system can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process information outside your country under their applicable policies.

We may update this policy as the app or services change. The date above identifies the latest revision.
